A 34-year-old former Harper Woods woman was sentenced Thursday in Detroit federal court to 17.5 years in prison for selling lethal doses of fentanyl-laced cocaine to three Grosse Pointe Woods residents who died in 2023.

Authorities said Aerian Porter-Craig regularly sold drugs to the three victims. On June 9, 2023, she distributed drugs that resulted in the deaths. She was arrested Sept. 11, 2024.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner determined that two victims died from fentanyl toxicity, and the third from fentanyl and xylazine toxicity. Xylazine is a deadly animal tranquilizer sometimes mixed with fentanyl by drug traffickers.

“This drug dealer peddled deadly doses, floating like the grim reaper from one house to the next,” U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon Jr. said in a statement. “She claimed three lives in one day—just so she could make a few bucks.
