Seattle-Area Man Arrested in Connection with Suspected Metro Detroit Terror Plot. He's the Eighth Person.

A 19-year-old Seattle-area man has been charged in connection with the suspected terrorism plot over Halloween weekend in Metro Detroit, NBC News reports. He is the eighth person charged in the alleged plot targeting LGBTQ+-friendly clubs in Ferndale.

The FBI on Wednesday arrested Saed Ali Mirreh, a U.S. citizen from Kent, Washington.

He faces one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization (ISIS) and one count of attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, NBC reports.

NBC reports that authorities allege he was in contact with seven other suspects in the case.
