Detroit Police said Saturday they arrested a man and a woman suspected of shooting and shattering windows at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center and the Guardian Building on Griswold Street in downtown Detroit.

Police said Friday after the first incident at city hall that they suspect a pellet gun was used.

A police spokesman told Deadline Detroit that investigators have not confirmed whether the two incidents are related, but the suspects were seen in a car, a grey sedan, matching the description involved in both.

At City Hall, at least seven windows were shattered on Friday shortly before 5 a.m. On Saturday, a revolving door window was shot out at the Guardian Building on the Griswold Street side, also before 5 a.m.

The arrests were made some time after the second shooting, police said.

The police spokesman said a handgun was recovered but declined to say whether it was a pellet gun.

"I'm not sure if they were out joyriding, goofing around. It's not funny. Not entertained by it all," First Assistant Chief Charles Fitzgerald said during a press conference on the matter on Friday. "They're going to have to answer to it."
