Detroit rapper Gmac Cash went a step beyond the normal endorsement by dedicating a music video to Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Hill Harper, Metro Times reports.
“If you’re tired of working harder, vote Hill Harper,” he raps in his song titled "Vote Hill Harper." “If we’re trying to move smarter, vote Hill Harper. See it in big bold letters, ‘Vote Hill Harper.’ Gotta believe in better. Vote Hill Harper.”
Harper, an actor, community activist and businessman, is running against U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin in the Aug. 6 Democratic primary. Harper has an uphill battle to beat Slotkin, who is currently favored to win.
